THE Quezon City Government, headed by Mayor Herbert M. Bautista, recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) for the enrolment of 80,000 constituents of the city under PhilHealth's Sponsored Program. PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon, together with Area Vice President for NCR and Southern Luzon Ruben John A. Basa, Vice President for NCR Dr. Shirley B. Domingo, NCR Central Branch Manager Lolita V. Tuliao signed the MOA.
At the same time, PhilHealth awarded Php 15,728,144.38 to the city government representing the PhilHealth capitation fund for the delivery of outpatient benefit services to enrolled indigent families through accredited rural health centers in the city.
The event was capped with a ceremonial distribution of PhilHealth cards to the Quezon City Tricycle Operator Driver's Association and to a senior citizen beneficiary. (END)
