On August 3, residents of Goa and the rest of the municipalities in the 4th District of Camarines Sur gained access to the member services offered by PhilHealth Regional Office V. Through the support of the Local Government Unit of Goa led by Mayor Antero S. Lim, PhRO V was able to launch the second online service desk in the Province of Camarines Sur.
The 4th District-Goa Service Desk is located at the Goa Integrated Central Terminal and is open Tuesdays to Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Among the services that are being made available through the online service desk are printing of Member Data Records and PhilHealth ID cards, updating of members' records, registration of new members and status updates on claim reimbursements. Members of the PhRO V team assigned to man the service desk are ready to answer inquiries about the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) and are prime players in advocating the PhilHealth program among the local folks.
"With the support that the Local Chief Executives of Camarines Sur is giving PhilHealth, we are confident that our main thrust of covering every Bicolano with social health insurance is within reach," Dr. Veronica T. Mateum, PhRO V Officer-in-charge/Regional Vice President.
In April this year PhRO V also opened the Nabua Service Desk to cater to the needs of residents of the 5th District of Camarines Sur. Meanwhile, negotiations are underway for the putting up of the same servicing points in Sipocot and Iriga City as LCEs have already expressed their intention to help make these services available to their constituents.
