PhRO II Launches Member-Get-Member, Win A Prize Promo October 3, 2011

The PhilHealth Regional Office II recently launched one of its strategies in marketing the Individually Paying Program (IPP) among the informal sector in Cagayan Valley.

The project, dubbed "PhilHealth Member Get Member-Win a Prize Promo" aims to promote the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) to those who are not yet members and encourage them to register under the IPP.

It also targets those who did not pass the National Household Targeting System (NHTS) survey but have the capacity to pay for their own premium contributions.

Every active PhilHealth member is eligible as an advocate, may market the IPP and will be given a token as prize. The advocate may claim as many PhilHealth commemorative tokens as they can, depending on the number of recruits they can get into the NHIP.

Every four recruits entitles the advocate to a specially designed PhilHealth umbrella and a raffle coupon for a chance to win any of the following: Grand Prize of one (1) unit, Apple iPad 2; Second Prize, three (3) units of Acer Aspire One Netbook; Third Prize, 25 units of Nokia x2-01 mobile phones; and Consolation Prizes, 25 units of P500.00 worth of mobile phone load.

Existing IPMs are also qualified provided that they have paid the previous quarter prior to the quarter during which the promo started. Employed members must be actively connected with their respective agencies, while sponsored members must have valid membership o unexpired validity as indicated in their card.

In the promo, a PhilHealth advocate markets the IPP and may give out PhilHealth Member Registration Forms (PMRF) to his recruits. The advocate also advises the recruits to register directly with the Regional or any Service Office or Service Desks in Region 2 providing online transactions. The newly- registered IPM also needs to pay the initial quarter contribution set for IPP but he may have the option to pay semi-annually or even annually.

The promo will run until December 23, 2011 and prizes may be claimed until January 23, 2012. (Samuel Morillo, PR Officer III)
