Multi-sectoral MOA inked for PhilHealth Sabado II July 1, 2011

The Department of Health (DOH) and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently entered into a joint agreement with other government and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) for the conduct of the second Nationwide PhilHealth Registration Day (NPRD) last June 25, 2011.

The signing ceremony was led by Health Secretary Enrique T. Ona and PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Rey B. Aquino.

Also present were Secretary Corazon Juliano Soliman of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Secretary Jose Eliseo Rocamora of the National Anti-Poverty Commission, Assistant Secretary Rolando Acosta of the Department of Interior and Local Government, Director General Jose A. Fabia of the Philippine Information Agency, Oriental Mindoro Governor Alfonso Umali Jr., National President, League of Provinces of the Philippines, Dr. Maria Corazon Dumlao, Officer-in- Charge, Health and Nutrition Center, Department of Education and Dr. Anna Maria Nemenzo of the Non- Government Organizations.
