PhilHealth Joins 'Umagang Kay Ganda' Pre-employment Fair June 24, 2011

DESPITE the heavy downpour, several government agencies including the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) proceeded with their frontline services at the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation's compound in Quezon City last June 20 to provide pre-employment services primarily to heads of families.

The activity was part of the early TV program 'Umagang Kay Ganda's' segment for fathers looking for jobs. Also among the exhibitors were manpower placement agencies that offered local and overseas jobs.

Around 114 visitors trooped to the infodesk. A total of 73 PhilHealth ID cards and member data records were printed and distributed to existing members. New registrants whose ID cards and MDRs were also made available onsite included UKG hosts Iya Villania, Phoemela Baranda and Ma. Venus Raj, while Jeffrey Tam, an existing PhilHealth member, also had his ID and MDR printed. Reading materials on PhilHealth benefits, procedures in ensuring continued membership coverage, and registration guide for prospective members under the Individually Paying Program were also distributed.

Other infodesk visitors sought updates on their filed claims, some wanted to check on their premium contributions while others submitted their PhilHealth Member Registration Forms (PMRFs) with supporting documents for MDR updating.

Delio Aseron II, Rizal Service Office Head, was interviewed by UKG segment host Winnie Cordero regarding the available services onsite.

The infodesk service was jointly undertaken by the NCR Group and the Public Affairs Department. (END)
