PhilHealth Universal Health Care Logo Design Contest Now OpenDecember 21, 2011

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is calling on graphic artists, illustrators, design students, creative teams of advertising agencies and other design experts to join its campaign logo design contest on the theme, “Race to universal health care.”

The logo design contest is open to all Filipinos. No age limits have been set. Individuals or groups, professionals, students or junior designers can submit entries.

The entry must be able to illustrate the theme, as well as the slogan, “Bawat Pilipino miyembro. Bawat miyembro, protektado. Kalusugan natin segurado.” The theme and slogan articulate PhilHealth’s commitment towards achieving Universal Health Care (UHC). It also underscores the Local Government Unit’s involvement in the execution of PhilHealth’s strategies towards UHC. “This is a call for all provinces and cities to be the first to reach UHC,” said PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon.

The winning entry will be awarded P30,000.00 and will be used as the official campaign logo for PhilHealth’s race to UHC.

The design entry has to signify speed and energy towards attaining UHC. Designers are free to choose the colors and gradients to be used in the campaign logo where resolution of the logo/artwork should not be less than 300 dpi (dots per inch) and in CMYK. All entries must be submitted in either PSD-Photoshop Document; JPEG- Joint Photographic Experts Group; AI-Adobe Illustrator document; EPS–Encapsulated Postcript or in PDF-Portable Document Format only and should not exceed 10mb in file size. Entries with identifying marks, logos and signature representing the identities of the artist or affiliations are automatically disqualified Neither PhilHealth’s name nor its slogan should appear in the logo.

A brief narrative description of the logo should be provided by the designer. The description should be written in the contest entry form.

A maximum of three designs per individual or group will be accepted. All entries must be emailed to philhealth.online@gmail.com until 12 midnight of December 31, 2011 and must contain the name, postal address, contact number, and e-mail address of the participant. For group submissions, the organization’s name and their point person’s name, postal address, contact number, and e-mail address must be indicated.
