PhilHealth Strengthens iGroup Program October 2, 2012

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is formally tapping the services of Serving Humanity through Empowerment and Development, Inc. (SHED) and the KASAGANA-KA Mutual Benefit Association, Inc., duly registered Organized Group, as partners in the implementation of NHIP through the I-Group Program through the signing of Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) conducted recently.

Under the MOA, both partners shall recruit members for enrollment under the NHIP through the iGroup Program. SHED, an aggressive micro finance group and KASAGANA-KA, being an existing KaSAPI partner, have expressed intentions of implementing the said program nationwide beginning October 2012.

The iGroup program of PhilHealth targets members of organized groups to be enrolled as Individually Paying Members (IPM). (END)
