PhRO 4A Inaugurates New Calamba Service Office March 27, 2012

The PhilHealth Regional Office IVA recently inaugurated its Calamba Service Office at its new location: 3/F Paseo Uno de Calamba, Paciano Rizal, Calamba, Laguna. PhilHealth Senior Vice President and Chief Audit Executive Melinda C. Mercado, PhRO IV-A Regional Vice President Alberto C. Manduriao and Calamba Assistant City Administrator Larissa P. Malinao representing Mayor Joaquin Chipeco, led the ceremonial ribbon cutting with Fr. Joe Fernandez of the Don Bosco Parish leading the blessing rites. Manduriao assured the stakeholders present during the inauguration that the transfer will result to better services for them. Likewise, Mercado said that, “the transfer of Calamba SO has given our clients a bigger and comfortable space but more importantly we wanted to ensure the quality of services accorded to them by our frontliners.” In the same way, Sta. Rosa Mayor Arlene Arcillas conferred her support by ensuring continued coverage for the enrolled indigents under the Sponsored Program in Sta. Rosa City . Through her ‘PhilHealth ng Masa’ project in the local government unit, information and coordination efforts for the Sponsored Program are made available at the grassroots level. The transfer has made PhilHealth services accessible to more members from upper Laguna and the general catchment area of Calamba Service Office which is evident in the growing number of clients visiting the office daily.

To date, PhRO IVA has six (6) Service Offices providing general services to PhilHealth members and partners in Imus and Trece Martires City in Cavite , Calamba and San Pablo City in Laguna and Lucena City and Gumaca, Quezon. Manduriao hopes to add more offices per province to bring PhilHealth closer to the public. (Sharyll M. Ortiz)
