Bringing together employers and industry leaders in Taguig City, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently held a Stakeholders Forum which serves as a platform for participants to gain valuable insights on the latest advancements in the National Health Insurance Program. Key topics included new and enhanced benefits such as the Konsulta Package and Outpatient Emergency Care Benefit Package, the removal of the 45-day annual benefit limit, and updates on membership policies.
Representatives from over 20 organizations, including the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and Management Association of the Philippines, and other prominent companies, attended the event and expressed their support for PhilHealth's initiatives.
PhilHealth's Senior Vice President for Health Finance Policy Sector and Spokesperson, Dr. Israel Francis A. Pargas led the forum, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in achieving Universal Health Care in the country. He urged the participants to support PhilHealth's plans and programs and emphasized the importance of 4M or Magparehistro, Magbayad ng Kontribusyon, Mag-update ng records at Mag-claim ng benepisyo.
Recognizing the pivotal role of employers, this event sought to forge meaningful partnerships between PhilHealth and the group, with the shared goal of improving outcomes for members and their families. Through collaboration, PhilHealth and its partners can strengthen healthcare benefits and services, ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for all Filipinos. The two-day event will conclude with Batch 2, addressing Persons with Disabilities and other important developments.
