In a major step towards the realization of Universal Health Care in the country, PhilHealth and the Department of Health jointly launched the National Health Data Repository Philippine Core Data for Interoperability recently in Pasig City.
The event, attended by over 100 representatives from key agencies including the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the Philippine Statistics Authority and UNICEF, aims to ensure more efficient and secure access to vital health information nationwide.
The NHDR benefits Filipinos through increased transparency, accountability, security, accessibility and personalized healthcare services tailored to individual needs and further streamline healthcare processes.
On the same occasion, PhilHealth bared the new NHDR website, a platform that will provide authorized users with access to standardized, anonymized, and interoperable health information, enabling evidence-based policies, improved healthcare services, and better patient outcomes.
The DICT through Under Secretary David L. Almirol Jr. expressed their gratitude to PhilHealth for its proactive involvement in the launch of the NHDR Interoperability. He stated, “PhilHealth is playing a key role in this initiative, as it is the first to receive the data and will ensure its secure sharing with the DOH, providing critical support to beneficiaries.".
