PhilHealth-NCR & Rizal joins the celebration of Elderly Filipino Week 10-17-2024

Proclamation No. 470 declares October 1 to 7 Elderly Filipino Week throughout the country; and to celebrate this occasion honoring our beloved elders, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) - National Capital Region and Rizal Regional Office (PRO-NCR & Rizal) held their “Talakayan Sa Skydome,” with the theme: “SENIOR CITIZENS: Building The Nation, Inspiring Generations!” at SM City North EDSA Skydome on October 4, 2024.

Senior citizens from different barangays, led by the Federation of Senior Citizens of the Philippines-Quezon City (FSCAP-QC), attended with Federation President and former QC Councilor Jorge Banal.

PhilHealth-NCR & Rizal installed a booth to address member inquiries and concerns. Raymond Edwin P. Acoba, Head of the Public Affairs Unit discussed PhilHealth benefits for the elderly and reiterated primary care services under the PhilHealth Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) Package that includes free check-ups, selected laboratory tests, and essential drugs and medicines for selected conditions.

The event left an indelible mark in the hearts of our seniors as PhilHealth was able to manifest the Government’s commitment to protect and secure them through our programs so we can give tribute to their contributions which have guaranteed a better future to the next generations. ###
