PhilHealth XII holds community outreach program in Koronadal City 08-22-2024

Still, in line with the celebration of PhilHealth’s 29th anniversary, its Regional Office XII distributed Member Data Records and IDs to some 200 beneficiaries during a community outreach program in Brgy. Gen. Paulino Santos, Koronadal City.

Participants also received orientation on Universal Health Care, PhilHealth Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama or Konsulta (PhilHealth’s primary care benefit package), and other benefits. The activity was part of PhilHealth’s commitment to ensuring community well-being, raising program awareness, and fostering positive relationships with the local government unit, local organizations, and residents of the area

PhilHealth also stressed the importance of Konsulta to prevent major illnesses such as stroke, cancer, and cardiac arrest which are considered leading causes of death nowadays. Members were made fully aware of their responsibilities and obligations to register with a Konsulta Package Provider and update their membership records to ensure hassle-free availment of PhilHealth benefits.

“We are more than thankful that you have identified our barangay as the recipient of this special program in line with your 29th-anniversary activity. We can only thank you enough and commit to support whatever endeavor you may undertake in the future,” Punong Brgy. Danilo B. de los Santos said during the program.

Gift packs were also given to the participants that consisted of 10 kilos of rice, canned goods, powdered milk, and a pack of sugar.

PhilHealth XII Management Division Chief, Merlie C. Sabug said that similar activities in the future should be held with more participants.

“It is with great pleasure that we have come to see you face to face today. Being with you right now serves as the fulfillment of our program to increase awareness about our products and services. We are also very much willing to answer your inquiries and other PhilHealth-related concerns,” guaranteed Sabug.

She added that “Our office is open from Monday to Friday to provide whatever assistance you need in terms of PhilHealth-related concerns. We encourage you to maximize your benefits since this is the reason why our program exists.”

Administrative Officer V Bienvenido L. Borra thanked Brgy. GPS for the opportunity that it granted PhilHealth XII to conduct the community outreach activity. “With this kind of activity that we have today, PhilHealth once again is expressing its commitment on the realization of its vision, ‘bawat Filipino miyembro; bawat miyembro protektado; kalusugan ng lahat segurado.” ###
