PAMPANGA – “It’s almost impossible until it’s done”. These famous words of South African Statesman Nelson Mandela reverberated during a special message delivered by Elizabeth Banting Capuli, Chief Social Insurance Officer (CSIO) of PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO)-San Fernando, Pampanga on the occasion of the ribbon cutting ceremony and blessing of the office’s new location on July 5, 2024.
LHIO San Fernando is now located at Cyberhaus Property Holdings, Inc. Building in North Forbes, McArthur Highway, San Agustin, San Fernando City, Pampanga. It is situated in between popular malls, the larger office space can serve more PhilHealth members and is easily accessible via public transport.
Present during the opening was Reverend Father Emil Guiao, PhilHealth Vice President for Areas I and II Walter R. Bacareza, Acting Vice President Henry V. Almanon, Acting Branch Manager-A Dr. Rowena Zabat-San Mateo, Department of Health Regional Director Dr. Corazon I. Flores, Philippine Information Agency Regional Director William L. Beltran, Pag-IBIG Fund Manager Liberty C. Guerrero, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Dax M. Tidula, and partners from various local government units (LGUs), Landbank of the Philippines, Development Bank of the Philippines, and the PhilHealth Management Committee. Moreover, City Mayor Vilma Caluag sent a virtual message of support to the occasion.
The event also saw the inauguration and sealing of partnerships between PhilHealth and the San Fernando City Pampanga Federation of PUV Transport Services Inc., Jeepney Federation, Pampanga Fernandinos United Merchants and Trading Association, and New Public Market Vendors and Traders Association of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga represented by their Presidents Albert B. Garcia, Ricardo L. Ramos Jr., and Arjel C. Aquino, respectively.
LHIO San Fernando took the opportunity to highlight the recent enhancements on the National Health Insurance Program such as the 30% increase in PhilHealth’s Case Rates, benefit adjustments for hemodialysis and pneumonia high-risk, Z Benefits for Breast Cancer, and the Outpatient Mental Health Benefits Package
With the support of all the members, partners, and stakeholders, PhilHealth’s campaign “Pinalawak at mga Bagong Benepisyo para sa Mamamayang Filipino” will truly be felt in this part of the country. ###
