PhilHealth Region I inaugurates new Ilocos Sur office 02-13-2024

PhilHealth Regional Office I (PRO I) opened its new Ilocos Sur Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) last February 13, 2024 to continue serving PhilHealth members and stakeholders in the area. The newly-inaugurated LHIO is located in Poblacion East, San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur.

“We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur for giving us a new home”, said Field Operations Division Chief Josephine Q. Quiton, during the inauguration, on behalf of PRO I Regional Vice President Mr. Dennis B. Adre.

She also expressed her appreciation to Hon. Christian Daniel “Basi” A. Purisima, Municipal Mayor of San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan. Quiton said that PhilHealth will remain committed and dedicated to providing service and support to all Filipinos especially the constituencies of the said municipality.

“We are your family”, said Mayor Purisima to PhilHealth in response, and announced the new office will only be the latter’s temporary home.

Ilocos Sur LHIO is set to build their permanent office in a lot donated by LGU San Ildefonso, just in front of their current office.

A Thanksgiving Mass, officiated by Rev. Fr. Glenn Ragsag, was celebrated at San Ildefonso de Toledo Parish Church. Blessings were bestowed upon both the new office space and the dedicated PhilHealth employees.

Jay Oliver S. Omoso, Chief Social Insurance Officer of Ilocos Sur LHIO, also thanked the Hon. Purisima and LGU San Ildefonso for granting them their new office space. The inauguration was also attended by heads of neighboring government agencies in the area. ###
