Signing of the IRR of Malasakit Centers Act of 2019 (RA 11463) March 5, 2020
The joint signing of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of R.A. 11463, also known as Malasakit Centers Act of 2019 took place on February 24, 2020 at the National Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI) in Quezon City. The law seeks to make it more convenient and accessible for Filipinos to avail of medical and financial assistance from the government by putting all concerned agencies under one roof, one-stop-shop style. Among the participating agencies of Malasakit Centers include the Department of Health, PhilHealth, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and Department of Social Welfare and Development.
