PhilHealth XII Opens Service Desk in Alabel June 14, 2019

To help ensure 100% coverage of all Filipinos and make PhilHealth services closer to its clients, PhilHealth Regional Office (PRO) XII recently opened its second Service Desk in Alabel, Sarangani Province stationed in Sarangani Health Care Facility (SHCF) after it has initially opened its desk in Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat located in RHU Kalamansig.

PRO XII Acting Regional Vice President, Marjorie A. Cabrieto acknowledged Sarangani Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Arvin A. Alejandro and SHCF Chief of Hospital, Dr. Ailyn M. Brion for their support.

"Thank you for allowing 100 Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) to come and witness the opening. I am sure, as partners in the advocacy, it would be easier for us to bring the message across our target clients who are the indigents and sponsored members. Residents from nearby municipalities like Glan, Malapatan, Malungon and Balot Island, may come and tell us their concerns," Cabrieto said.

"Tama lang gyud nga naa nai PhilHealth dinhi para duol sa atoa. Unta ang Sarangani Health Care Facility ma accredit na pud kay daghan pasyente gikan ning dapita nga naa na lang permanente mudulog sa Royeca Hospital sa Gensan," ("It's a must that PhilHealth should set up their Service Desk in this area. I hope that Sarangani Health Care Facility will soon be accredited since patients flock at the Royeca Hospital most of the time in Gen. Santos,") BHW President, Gina Manisan said.

Dr. Alejandro pledged to comply all the necessary requirements for immediate accreditation of said facility for the benefit of all PhilHealth members and beneficiaries in the area.

Speaking on behalf of SHCF and other government hospitals in Glan, Malungon, Maasim, Kiamba and Maitum., Brion commits to abide by PhilHealth rules and regulations. She also aspires for the second level accreditation status of their hospital.

Sarangani Provincial Governor Office Chief of Staff, Cesar Cagas assured PhilHealth that the Governor's Office is willing to make everything come in full circle since health is everybody's wealth and must not be taken for granted by the government.

"Daku pud akong pasalamat nga naa gyud duol dinhi sa atoa ang ilahang opisina. Dakung tabang gyud ilabi na sa mga kubos. Kaning ospital, gi ampo gyud namo nga ma accredit na dayon. Naa lang dinhi ang PGO para sa suporta." ("I am honestly grateful that PhilHealth Office is getting closer to our doorstep. It certainly is of great help especially for the marginalized community. We are looking forward to the immediate accreditation of Sarangani Hospital. PGO is always here for the support,") he said.

Like the Service Desk in Kalamansig, said office opens Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm except holidays to cater to the needs of PhilHealth members, clients and stakeholders from Sarangani province. (Hanah Naanep)
