THE catchphrase “change is coming” also holds true for many companies as the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) continuously expands its methods to bring its products and services closer to the public.
As part of its endless pursuit for innovation and optimum customer service to its members and stakeholders, PhilHealth developed various types of software or applications to ensure that every Filipino can receive quality service, not only in times of confinement, but also in daily transactions with the Corporation. One of the said platforms is the Electronic Premium Remittance System (EPRS), a web-based platform developed to provide easier and more convenient access to PhilHealth’s services for employers. In its latest version, EPRS 3.1, the platform has been improved to make it even more suitable and beneficial to the employer’s needs.
PhilHealth understands that, for every business, time management is life management. With EPRS 3.1, PhilHealth guarantees a win-win solution for both the employer and employee. “Hindi nauubos yung oras ko sa pagpapabalik-balik sa PhilHealth office kung may kinakailangan akong i-update sa record ng mga empleyado,” (I am able to make better use of my time as I do not need to go to the PhilHealth office every time I need to update employee records) shared Mickey Shiro Balais, Administrative Assistant of Ace Promotional and Marketing Corporation in Tacloban City.
PhilHealth recognizes that no matter how big or small a company is, every centavo counts; hence, online payment of premium contribution has been made possible with EPRS 3.1. “Sa EPRS hindi ko na kinakailangang bumiyahe nang malayo upang makapag-remit ng premium contribution sa PhilHealth office dahil maaari naman akong makapag-remit sa mga Accredited Collecting Agents (ACAs) na malapit sa aming opisina. Iyong bagong feature ng ino-offer ng EPRS 3.1 na pagtanggap ng online payment, maaari ko itong imungkahi sa aking boss para makatipid sa pamasahe at sa oras ng biyahe,” (With EPRS, I do not need to travel all the way to PhilHealth office to remit our premium contribution since I can already do this through Accredited Collecting Agents (ACAs) near our office. Even better, the online payment capability provided by EPRS version 3.1 will help our company save on transportation costs and time. I will definitely recommend this to my boss) said Fe Ruby Alvarado, Human Resources Assistant of Pepsi Cola Products, Philippines, Incorporation in Tanauan, Leyte.
PhilHealth listens to the voices of its customers. For instance, PhilHealth Regional Office VIII conducts quarterly Employers’ Forum to solicit feedbacks from the users of the new premium remittance system and find ways to improve the software based on this. “Mahalaga sa amin ang bawat opinyon ng employer dahil alam namin na ito ang na-eexperience nila sa paggamit ng EPRS. Kung kaya’t tuloy-tuloy ang ginagawang pag-uupgrade sa EPRS upang maging tugma ang mga features na dine-develop sa pangangailangan ng mga business owners,” (We highly value the opinion of the employers as they are the primary users of EPRS. We are continuously upgrading the software to meet the needs of the business owners) stated Janina V. Filamor, Social Insurance Assistant of PhilHealth Region VIII.
PhilHealth is committed to provide easy-to-use software for a hassle-free user navigation experience. “Madali naming gamitin at intindihin ang EPRS. Sa una, inaalalayan pa ako ng PhilHealth staff pero ngayon kahit ako mag-isa,” (It is very easy to understand and navigate the EPRS software. Initially, a PhilHealth staff assisted me, but now I can do it on my own) said Nenita Codilan, Bookkeeping Staff of De Cadiz Bookkeeping Office on Salazar Street, Tacloban City.
Change does not end here as PhilHealth aims to provide a better experience to its members by means of constant innovation.
