THE Region XII Office of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently inaugurated its new home at CSA I Building, Zulueta Street corner General Santos Drive in Koronadal City.
In her welcome address, Region XII Vice President Miriam Grace G. Pamonag, M.D. said that PRO XII transferred to a bigger and wider space to better serve its clients, members, stakeholders and partners in service. She added that the new office location signifies a new chapter in the operation of PhilHealth in the name of ensuring access to quality health services to all Filipino members, as it becomes compliant with ISO standards.
The inauguration program was highlighted with the unveiling of the PRO XII RVP Wall as a tribute to former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon F. Aristoza, Jr. who served as Region XII Vice President from 1998 to 2013, before his appointment as EVP-COO in 2013, and as Acting President and CEO in August 2016.
In his message, former Interim President and CEO and current Board Member Dr. Hildegardes C. Dineros likened the organization’s human resource to an internal processor or hardware, and their talents and skills as the software. Everyone has to function and do their roles to provide better services to PhilHealth’s over 90 million members nationwide. System hangs and overload happen sometimes but these are just issues and concerns that need to be addressed through proper communication channels. He also challenged everyone to actively perform their duties because “you are your own President and CEO and that your priority is to ensure the satisfaction of PhilHealth members, clients and stakeholders.”
Meanwhile, PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) – Koronadal is still located at the Ground Floor of Plaza de Español Building, cor. Posadas and Abad Santos Streets, Koronadal City. Members and stakeholders are advised to visit LHIO Koronadal for their membership, premium contribution and other related concerns.
Also present during the inauguration were Councilor Annabelle G. Pingoy representing Mayor Peter Miguel, representatives from Veterans Bank and the Land Bank of the Philippines, partners from the national government agencies such as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), stakeholders, Mr. and Mrs. Cesar S. Agreda and partners from the media. (END)
