TO bring its frontline services closer to its members and to better serve its clients, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has formally opened its 10th Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) in the National Capital Region.
The new LHIO Fairview is located at the OWS Building, Lot 19, Block 237, Neopolitan 4 Subdivision, Barangay Pasong Putik in Quezon City. It is open from Mondays to Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
It is expected to cater to the needs of PhilHealth members, clients and stakeholders from Districts II, V and VI of Quezon City, including Marikina City.
The LHIO Fairview is headed by Myla Rita L. Sabile and is now in full operation. It offers services like membership registration, issuance of PhilHealth identification cards and Member Data Records (MDR), acceptance of premium contributions, and issuance of certificates of contributions.
The inauguration of LHIO Fairview started with a motorcade, followed by the ceremonial release of balloons symbolizing the release of negative vibes. The blessing ceremony was officiated by Fr. Hernando Milan of Visitation of Our Lady Parish, followed by coin showers to inspire prosperity.
The event was graced by PhilHealth officers namely: Dr. Shirley B. Domingo, Officer-in-charge, Senior Vice President for Management Services Sector; Lolita V. Tuliao, Officer-in-charge, Area II Vice President; Dennis S. Mas, Regional Vice President for National Capital Region; Cheryl W. Peña, Officer-in-charge, Branch Manager for NCR Central; Cynthia P. Camacho, Officer-in-charge, Branch Manager for NCR North; Bernadette Lico, Officer-in-charge, Branch Manager for NCR South, and Heads of the different LHIOs in the NCR.
Mas informed the guests that all PhilHealth offices in the NCR have received the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) Seal of Excellence Award and he expressed optimism that the new LHIO will also be able to receive it. He expects LHIO Fairview “...to do the same way of providing excellent level of service to be observed and experienced by our members.”
Alfred Vargas (Rep., 5th District, Quezon City) also graced the event and expressed his appreciation for bringing PhilHealth closer to his district. "We are not just building an office here but we are building security for our people. We are not opening an office but we are opening happiness for each and every family who knows that whenever they get sick and hospitalized, there is PhilHealth that they can depend and rely on and is now within reach" he said.
