Pasig City - The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) headed by Officer-in-charge President and CEO Dr. Hildegardes C. Dineros (middle) recently met with the European Union (EU) representatives at the PhilHealth’s head office in Pasig City to strengthen collaboration towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The technical assistance provided to PhilHealth is part of the continuing support of the EU to the health sector through the Philippine Health Sector Reform Contract (PHSRC). The PHSRC ensures EU’s support to the achievement of UHC through improved financial capability of the government to achieve sector policy objectives, improved health sector governance and health service delivery.
Part of EU’s support for PhilHealth are in the areas of actuary; risk management; strategic purchasing; health technology assessment, analytics road map, change management; and enterprise architecture.
According to Dineros, the call for UHC is not the sole responsibility of PhilHealth as it needs assistance from various sectors like the EU. Also in photo are (L-R) PhilHealth Officers: Nerissa R.
