Legazpi City--- PhilHealth Regional Office V, through Regional Vice President Orlando D. Iñigo, Jr., Acting Field Operations Division Chief Marcia Natalia V. Simsiman, and Local Health Insurance Office Chief Darlene L. Nuyles, received the Galing Pook Award from the Provincial Government of Albay, for the services rendered as member of the Team Albay Countryside Development Caravan (TACDEC) for 2015.
A brainchild of Albay Governor Joey Sarte Salceda, TACDEC was created through EO 2013-09-A as a strategy to effectively and efficiently provide basic services to the most far- flung areas in Albay. It underscores linkages with local government units and national government agencies, and the involvement of civic organizations and other stakeholders working together towards peace and development.
PRO V, through its LHIO - Albay, actively participates in TACDEC to continuously inform and empower members in far-flung areas about their rights and responsibilities under the National Health Insurance Program.
In the same way that ALAGA KA activities are roadshows of PhilHealth’s primary care services, Albay’s TACDEC brings together different sectors of stakeholders to provide services and information to the grassroots. Adequate and necessary information and services on health, education, livelihood, and vital economic programs are provided for the most vulnerable populations.
PRO V sees TACDEC as a way to produce and mobilize more champions of PhilHealth at the countryside, and supports every effort made by the Province of Albay to bring government services closer to the people. The PRO, through LHIO- Albay, commits continued support to this very relevant program of the province. (END)
