The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is joining other government agencies in the launching of the National Peace Caravan at Brgy. Kalipay, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental and at the City Gymnasium, of Gingoog City.
The caravan, which carries the theme “Serbisyo Alang sa Katawhan, Kalambuan sa Dakbayan” Let’s GO NA, Serbisyo NA! aims to deliver the basic services for 25, 274 indigent members who are included in the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS- PR) in Gingoog City. Through this activity, greater access to primary health care services for the indigent beneficiaries is ensured.
The two-day program is taking place in two (2) clusters. For Cluster 1 composed of 10 barangays in Gingoog City, namely Kalipay, Eureka, Sangalan, Kamanikan, Dinawehan, Kianlagan, San Jose, Malibud, Tagpako and Talon, PhilHealth is distributing and updating 932 Member Data Records (MDRs).
PhilHealth is also distributing and updating 490 MDRs for Cluster 2 which includes Barangays 18-A, 19, 20, 24, 24-A, 25, 23, 26, 17, 18, Agay-ayan, San Luis, Lunao, San Juan, Santiago, Daan Lungsod, Punong, Anakan, Odiongan, Pangasihan, Talisay, Minsapinit, Maribocao, Mimbalagon, Tinabalan, Bagubad, Ricoro, Samay, Capitulangan, Murallon, Bal-ason, Libertad, Lawaan, Libon, Lawit, Kalagonoy, Kipuntos, San Miguel, Alagatan, Binakalan, Bantaawan, Kibuging, Pigsaluhan, Mimbuntong, Bakid-bakid and Tinolongan.
PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office-Gingoog takes this opportunity to increase membership awareness through the conduct of Information and Education Campaign (IEC). Indigent beneficiaries can also avail themselves of the Primary Care Benefit services such as consultations, profiling, history- taking, blood pressure monitoring, body mass index measurement and counselling during the activity.
The National Peace Caravan aims to empower the poor and the marginalized sector of society so that these members can take full advantage of their health insurance benefits.
LHIO-Gingoog, in its desire to make health care services felt by the members, is partnering with different agencies to ensure that health campaigns reach their areas of jurisdiction.
