PhilHealth Palawan LHIO, in collaboration with the City Government of Puerto Princesa, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and the Puerto Princesa City AirTODA Transport Service Cooperative launched the P6.60 Kada Araw na Hulog Para Sa Kalusugan Ng Pamilya Project on August 14, 2015 at about 5pm at the Puerto Princesa City International Airport VIP lounge. The launching ceremony was highlighted by the distribution of individual health savings passbook of the AirTODA drivers and operators.
The project aims to capacitate the TODA in the management of their organization as a strategy in ensuring that they can effectively manage their health care program through PhilHealth membership and savings mobilization scheme. It will enable the drivers and operators to pay the required quarterly premium contribution in order to avail themselves of PhilHealth benefits that will even benefit their qualified dependents. It also intends to link the TODA to the local government units and local banks to ensure the sustainability of the program and to secure the health funds of the association.
It is expected that at the end of the project period, 100% of the TODA members will be covered by PhilHealth, appropriate membership policies are in place to ensure the sustainability the program, and better health outcomes are achieved among the families of the TODA members.
The launching ceremony was participated in by PhilHealth Palawan LHIO Personnel headed by the author; CAAP PPC Area Manager, Engr. Percy A. Malonesio; Representative of the City Government of Puerto Princesa Allan Naraga; the President of AirTODA Transport Service Cooperative, Antonio C. Sandrino and all their members. (END) (Wilfred G.
