TUPPERWARE Brands Philippines Inc. is sponsoring the second simultaneous running event of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) on February 15, 2015 in 13 major sites in the country.
Dubbed “PhilHealth Ready, TSeKaP, Go!”, the running event is among the many activities lined-up to mark PhilHealth’s 20th anniversary with the theme “Ensuring Universal Coverage for All Filipinos.” Proceeds of the run will be turned over to beneficiary-institutions caring for the vulnerable sectors of society.
Tupperware Brands is part of the Asia Pacific Group of Tupperware Brands Corporation and is known for over 50 years for its high quality products. It is a member of the Direct Selling Association of the Philippines and is one of the fastest growing direct-selling companies in the country. It also sponsored the 2013 PhilHealth Run.
Under an Engagement Agreement it signed with PhilHealth, Tupperware Brands shall serve as one of the corporate partners of the PhilHealth Run through a sponsorship worth P500, 000.
The signing ceremony was held in Quezon City during the event launch and was led by PhilHealth President and CEO Alexander A. Padilla and Tupperware Brands Philippines Inc. Marketing Support Manager, Mark Charles Lew I. Salecina.
The PhilHealth Chief emphasized that the Run aims to support the welfare of needy Filipinos. “Ito ay hindi po basta takbo lamang kundi upang palaganapin ang kaalaman ng mga miyembro tungkol sa kanilang mga benepisyo at serbisyong handog ng PhilHealth. Anuman ang malilikom dito ay itutulong sa mga mas nangangailangan. Ito po ay simbolo ng tunay na responsableng institutusyon ng Pamahalaan,” Padilla said in his speech before guests and members of the Press.
Also present during the launch were PhilHealth Board Members Dr. Alexander A. Ayco, Jane M.N. Sta Ana, Dr. Francis Lopez; Regional Vice President for NCR Dr. Dennis Mas, NCR Branch Managers Arsenia Torres, Rodolfo del Rosario Jr., and Dr. Elizabeth Fernandez.
