PhilHealth Champions UHC in PR Students Confab November 26, 2012

IN order to learn as well as tap fresh ideas and approaches for its continuing campaign on Universal Health Care, PhilHealth has actively supported this year’s National PR Students Grand Prix Competition held on November 17 to 18 at the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila.

With the theme, "Youth on Social Media: Creating a Generation of Game Changers", PhilHealth President and CEO personally thanked the Public Relations Society of the Philippines for making the PhilHealth program the subject of this year's competition.

"It is to the best interest of the nation that the PR practitioners of tomorrow have come up with fresh perspectives and new ways to make PhilHealth closer to the hearts of the people especially the poor" Banzon stressed before some 300 student delegates and PR practitioners in attendance.

A total of seven (7) finalists from various participating universities competed for the PR Grand Prix with Ateneo de Manila winning the coveted grand prize while UST and University of the Philippines Manila winning the second and third prizes, respectively. They were given cash prizes in addition to the specially-crafted glass trophies provided by PhilHealth. (END)
