PhilHealth signs MOA with Cooperative Union of the Philippines July 30, 2012

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and the Cooperative Union of the Philippines recently signed into an agreement to enroll 500,000 new Individually Paying members to the program.

The signing ceremony was led by PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon and Engr. Felix Borja, Secretary General of Cooperative Union of the Philippines.

Under the MOA, the Cooperative Union of the Philippines will tap its member cooperatives specifically targeting those with more than 5,000 members. Aside from enrollment to PhilHealth, it will also ensure the continuous payment of the annual premiums of all members.

Also present from PhilHealth were Atty. Edgardo Julio Asuncion, SVP for Legal Sector, Mr. Greg Rulloda, VP for Corporate Affairs Group, Ms. Evelyn Bangalan, OIC-GVP of Member Management Group and Mr. Gerry Saudi, IEC Consultant of Coop Union.
