SAN JOSE, Antique – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently launched the I-Group (Individually Paying Group) program here.
PhilHealth President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Eduardo Banzon led the launching which was highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between PhilHealth and COOP-NATCCO.
The MOA was signed by Dr. Banzon, PhilHealth Regional Vice President Dr. Dennis Mas, Visayas Group Head Maria Arriola of PhilHealth and COOP-NATCCO director Emmanuel Solis Jr. and Lourdes Diocson of COOP-NATCCO.
Banzon, who hails from Negros Occidental, said I-Group will give incentives to cooperatives based on their individual enlistments of members from the informal sectors in the community who comprise 65% of the country’s population.
Junie Sabusap, LHIO Chief of PhilHealth Antique, said I-Group orientations have already been conducted in the northern towns of Pandan and Libertad, and more orientations will soon be scheduled for other towns. (PNA)
