PhilHealth Opens Gumaca Service Office -
January 21, 2010

THE PhilHealth Regional Office IVA formally opened its Gumaca Service Office as it commences its premium collection payment for members in the third and fourth districts of Quezon.

Now, members from far-flung areas of Quezon need not travel to Lucena City to pay for their premium or apply for membership as PhilHealth hopes to make its services available and accessible to its growing members.

The new service office, located at the 2/F SME Building, Capisonda Street, Gumaca Public Market, Gumaca, Quezon, now provides a full range of services to its members from membership application and receiving of reports to premium payment including filing of benefit claims as well as request for re-issuance of their Member Data Record (MDR) and PhilHealth Number Cards (PNCs) or lifetime member IDs.

Likewise, its team of six takes turns in manning the weekly service desks namely, Lopez Service Desk every Monday, Calauag Information Desk every Tuesday, and Tagkawayan Information Desk every first Thursday of the month to coincide with the regular meetings of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC).

To date, PhRO IVA has six existing Service Offices providing general services to NHIP members and partners in Imus and Trece Martires City in Cavite, Calamba and San Pablo City in Laguna and Lucena City and Gumaca, Quezon. (Sharyll Ortiz, PhRO IV-A)
