CIS Bayad Centers Now Accepting PhilHealth Premium Payments -
September 1, 2010

BETTER accessibility and utmost convenience for members, especially in premium contributions payment.

This is how Dr. Rey B. Aquino, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) envisioned PhilHealth's services to its members, adding that towards this goal, PhilHealth has instituted several measures with the members' interest in mind.

For instance, Aquino said, members under the Individually Paying Program (IPP) may now pay their quarterly premium contributions through any of the 1,242 CIS Bayad Centers nationwide.

"The CIS Bayad Centers are convenient hubs through which our IPMs may pay. They are open even on weekends. These payment outlets are found in convenience outlets, supermarkets, department stores, mailing and telegraph centers, and other locations in key cities all over the country," Aquino said.

Barely four months since it started collecting for PhilHealth, CIS Bayad Centers already posted P4.7 M in premium collections. "This shows that our partnership with CIS Bayad Centers is working effectively and provides the convenience we have always wanted for our members," the PhilHealth Chief noted.

When paying their premiums, IPMs need to fill-out the CBCI Transaction/ Payment Form which should contain the account name or the member's full name; account number or the PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN); due date or the applicable period for which payment is being made; date and the amount being paid. The member also has to affix his signature in the form.

The form will be validated and the lower portion shall serve as the member's official receipt of payment and will also be accepted as proof of premium payments in the availment of PhilHealth benefits.
