PhilHealth receives P100.8K from the
Federation of Pre-Need Plan Companies - February 4, 2009

One hundred sixty eight poor Filipino families from different locations in the country will soon have social health insurance coverage courtesy of a federation of pre-need companies.

In simple ceremonies held at the PhilHealth Central Office in Pasig City, the Philippine Federation of Pre-Need Plan Companies, Inc. (PFPPCI) turned over a cheque worth P100,800.00 to PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Rey B. Aquino. The cheque represents half of the premium of the enrolled families to PhilHealth.

PFPPCI is composed of 20 member-companies that offer pension, education and memorial life plans. Among these are Ayala Plans, Inc., Danvil Plans, Inc., Cocoplans, Inc., Eternal Plans, Inc., First Union Plans, Inc., Himlayang Pilipino Plans, Inc., Ideal Plans, Inc., Pacific Plans, Inc., Loyola Plans Consolidated, Inc., Manulife Financial Plans Inc., Mercantile Care Plans, Inc., Permanent Plans, Inc., Philam Plans, Inc., Prudentialife Plans Inc., Trusteeship Plans, Inc., Provident Plans International Corporation, St. Peter Life Plans, Inc., Sunlife Financial Plans, Inc., Transnational Plans, Inc. and Paz Memorial Services, Inc.
