PhilHealth Provides Frontline Services at US Embassy

ALMOST 200 local employees of the US Embassy benefited from frontline services provided by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) at the recently-concluded "Locally Employed Benefits Fair" held at the US Embassy Compound in Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
Rochelle L. San Pedro, PhilHealth Manila Service Office Head said that the members of the team from NCR North were excited about the event considering that it was the first time they provided online services at the US Embassy.

For one whole day, the PhilHealth service desk enabled local employers of the US Embassy to gain access to such services as online verification of claims, contribution and membership records, printing of Member Data Records (MDR) and PhilHealth Number Cards (PNC), updating of membership records, online registration for newly-hired employees, receiving of claim application and information dissemination.

A total of 193 MDRs and PNCs were printed and released, nine (9) M1a applications were screened and encoded, 32 MDRs were amended/updated, one (1) claim application was received and a couple of basic queries on the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) were responded to.
San Pedro pointed out that her team is ready to replicate the same endeavor , although she acknowledged that additional manpower and equipment resources should be made available to maximize the capability of the PhilHealth team posted at specific venues for information service.
She also thanked the organizers of the activity, Ces Canilao, Graham Webster and US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney, who graced the event and expressed their amazement and gratitude for PhilHealth's efforts and the quality of service that San Pedro's team we provided. (END)
