New PhilHealth President Takes Oath - September 23, 2008
PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo swears into office Dr. Rey B. Aquino as the new President and CEO of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
Aquino is a three-term Mayor of San Fernando City and once served as Representative of the 3rd District of Pampanga. He vowed to continue the pursuit of universal coverage, push efforts to promote fraud detection and prevention, support premium collection initiatives and study the introduction of additional health insurance benefits for members.
