PhilHealth Launches New Website
THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently launched its new corporate website, www.philhealth.gov.ph to provide updated and organized information for its various stakeholders.
The new website, which sports predominantly green and blue colors, has five major sections in the homepage, and was jointly developed by the Public Affairs Department and the Information Technology Management Department.
The "Members" page contains links to PhilHealth's five major programs, namely, Overseas Workers, Non-Paying, Employed, Individually Paying and Sponsored Programs. Each of these links provides members with information pertaining to membership concerns such as procedures on changing categories, benefits and availment, and updating of dependents' list.
The "About Us" section highlights PhilHealth's corporate vision, mission, and core values, and provides a directory of its executive officers as well as its Regional and Service offices nationwide.
Site visitors who click on the "Employers" page are in for updates on policies and guidelines, as well as on the basic how-to's for employers in the private and government sectors. The page provides information on how employers should enroll their employees into PhilHealth, details on premium remittance and reporting procedures. The list of accredited payment centers through which the premiums may be remitted is also included in the page.
The "Health Care Providers" section caters to the information needs of institutional and professional health care providers accredited with PhilHealth. It provides valuable updates on PhilHealth's quality programs and standards that these HCPs should conform with.
Finally, the "Media" section is for journalists looking for a good story to write about social health insurance. It contains the latest PhilHealth public announcements for public dissemination. (END)
