PhilHealth Joins NACPA Campaign - August 19, 2008

THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation recently supported the Office of the Ombudsman's National Anti-Corruption Program of Action (NACPA) in Urdaneta, Pangasinan. PhilHealth's commitment to the NACPA campaign to fight corruption is unyielding as staffmembers did not mind the intense heat of the sun as they marched towards Urdaneta City Sports and Cultural Centre where Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez delivered her speech.
Ombudsman Merceditas N. Gutierrez, along with Urdaneta Mayor Amadeo Perez and staffmembers from the regional office of the Ombudsman sing "Pilipinas Kong Mahal." She emphasized the need to work hand-in-hand to fight corruption, as articulated in the theme, "Katiwalian ay Labanan, Maging Tapat sa Bayan."
About 10,000 personnel from government agencies such as the Departments of Education (DepEd) and Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), non-government organizations, teachers and students from Urdaneta, Pangasinan also supported the campaign.
Staffmembers from the Urdaneta Service Office provided information assistance to members during the whole day activity.
