Mayor Lim leads ID Distribution in Manila's 2nd District - July 21, 2008
More than 2,000 less privileged residents of Manila's second district covering Tondo, Binondo, Quiapo and Sta. Cruz areas flocked to RASAC Covered Court in Sta. Cruz, Manila to receive their PhilHealth cards sponsored by the City Government of Manila. The health cards will entitle the recipients to PhilHealth benefits when confined in accredited hospitals even outside of Manila.
"Pag-ingatan ninyo ang inyong PhilHealth cards. Ito ay inyong magagamit sa 24 na private hospitals at apat na city-administered hospitals kung kayo ay magkakasakit" , Mayor Alfredo S. Lim reminds the recipients of the cards during the recent ID distribution ceremonies.
Lim and Leticia P. Portugal, Manager of PhilHealth NCR North Branch lead the distribution of PhilHealth cards to residents of Manila's second district covering Tondo, Binondo, Quiapo and Sta. Cruz.
Lim and Portugal present the mock-up of the PhilHealth card to Oscar Jamindang, a construction worker with 11 children from Barangay 275. He is one of the over 2,000 recipients of a one-year health insurance coverage, the premium of which is shouldered by the City Government of Manila and the National Government through PhilHealth.
