13th Anniversary Press Conference - March 4, 2008
On its 13th Anniversary, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation organized a media briefing at the Astoria Plaza in Ortigas, Pasig City. Vice President for Corporate Affairs Group Ruben John A. Basa welcomed participants to the press conference and presented the 13 milestones that PhilHealth has chalked up over the last 13 years.
Tito M. Mendiola, first Vice President for North Luzon and NCR shared with the media attendees the different highlights of PhilHealth's operations in 2007 which included the first-ever review of benefit packages, the introduction of the Case D type of illnesses, additional outpatient benefits for OFW members and their dependents, as well as the hosting of two international conferences.
The media event was attended by representatives from different media organizations that included Manila Times, Health News, Pinoy Parazzi, Radio stations DWWW and DZRJ, as well as TV stations IBC-13 and RPN-9.
