1,000 Poor Marikina Families Get Health Insurance Coverage

At least 1,000 poor families from the first district of Marikina City will soon have health insurance coverage through the Sponsored Program of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). Rep. Marcelino Teodoro (right) initially enrolled 1,000 families from his congressional district which consists of nine (9) barangays, namely, Barangka, Industrial Valley Complex (IVC), Jesus dela Peña, Kalumpang, Malanday, San Roque, Sta. Balog thanked Teodoro for being among the Congressmen who showed high appreciation for the PhilHealth program. He is shown exchanging copies of the MOA with Teodoro.

Teodoro pledged to enrol another batch of recipients into the PhilHealth program within the year and assured Balog of his continued support. He also plans to assign a staffmember who will solely handle the district's PhilHealth concerns.
