Health care access for Filipino women - August 22, 2007
The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women (NCRFW) to provide better and accessible health care services to Filipino women. The MOU is in line with the Gender Responsive Economic Actions for the Transformation of Women (GREAT Women) Project which aims to contribute to the establishment of a gender-responsive enabling environment. The GREAT Women Project has funding support from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Fajardo and Yao are shown exchanging copies of the signed MOU as officers from PhilHealth and NCRFW look on.
