PhilHealth Joins Serbisyo Muna Caravan in Payatas - August 21, 2006

The 24th Serbisyo Muna Caravan recently took off at the Payatas National High School in Quezon City, with the QC government sponsoring the enrolment of 400 new members, all residents of Payatas. PhilHealth Vice President for NCR Group Rodolfo M. Balog (2nd from left) and PAGCOR Corporate Communications Head Edward King hand over the PhilHealth ID card to one of the recipients.

Balog calls out the names of the recipients during the ceremonial ID distribution. PhilHealth’s participation in the Serbisyo Muna Caravan in Payatas was spearheaded by the NCR Central which has jurisdiction over the QC area.

Domingo (left) asks King about his views on the ongoing Serbisyo Muna Caravan, to which the latter said that he was pleased to see that residents of Payatas eagerly made their way to the school campus to attend the seminars and trainings on livelihood and seek out the services of various booths of such government agencies as the MWSS, TLRC, the DOH, LTO, as well as private firms like Smart Communications.

Volunteer teachers of Payatas National High School arrange the PhilHealth ID cards to ensure a well-organized distribution. The 400 recipients of the health cards are entitled to PhilHealth benefits like subsidy for hospital room and board fees, drugs and medicines, professional fees of attending physicians and other in-patient and out-patient benefits.
