The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the encoding of the quarterly contribution records of PhilHealth members which will be handled by PUP students in a bid to outsource the task using government facilities. Lorna O. Fajardo (2nd from left), Acting President and CEO said that the partnership is “…very timely considering the voluminous records that need to be encoded.” She further added that “…we would like other government agencies to see this as a model where we can maximize the use of government facilities and at the same time provide opportunity for additional income.” Also in photo are (seated L-R) Gregorio C. Rulloda, PhilHealth Vice President for MCMG, Dr. Dante G. Guevarra, Officer-in-charge and PUP President and Mely R. Luya, Director for PUP-ICTC with Mario S.
