PhilHealth VP for NCR Guests on "Super Radyo Nationwide" on DZBB - November 18, 2006
PhilHealth Vice President for NCR Group Rodolfo M. Balog recently guested on “Super Radyo Nationwide,” a weekly program focusing on current issues and government services over Radio DZBB 594 KHz-AM. Among the questions he answered were common problems encountered by members as far as availing of the benefits are concerned, how PhilHealth addresses complaints on professional fee benefits, and enrolment of the poor in the Sponsored Program. He was interviewed by seasoned broadcaster Francis J. Flores.
Balog explains to Flores that there are indeed certain instances when a hospital’s accreditation is suspended pending compliance with requisite documents. Flores also asked whether or not it would be advantageous for PhilHealth to stay as an attached agency of the Department of Health to which Balog said that the present situation provides a better perspective of health concerns besetting the country today.
Flores asks about the future directions of PhilHealth to which Balog stressed that the agency continues to work towards the fulfillment of its mandate to provide health insurance coverage to Filipinos.
