Cambodian delegation visits PhilHealth

The PhilHealth Regional Office X (PhRO X) recently welcomed the Cambodian delegates to the study tour in the province of Bukidnon. The delegation, led by Dr. Ung Phyrun wanted to study the implementation of the province’s Health System, how it helped bring down non-index crime rates of the province and how it improved the delivery of health services to the poor.
The two-day study tour inlcuded a visit to Bukidnon’s Housing and School Projects, to Bukidnon Provincial Hospital in Manolo Fortich, to Sumilao Provincial Health Station, to Bukidnon Provincial Hospital and to Malaybalay Medical Center.
PhRO X Assistant Vice President Datu Masiding Alonto Jr. briefed the delegates on the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) and its partnership with the province of Bukidnon while Governor Jose Maria R. Zubiri discussed the Bukidnon Model, expounding on the effects of the NHIP to his poor constituents and to his province.
