Taytay Indigent Families Get Health Insurance Coverage - July 11, 2003

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhiHealth) recently signed a memorandum of agreement with the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal covering at least 350 indigent families under PhilHealth’s “Medicare Para sa Masa” program through private sponsorship. Among the private sponsors are: Glaxo Smithkline (GSK) Phils., Versaflex Pharma and IPM Group of Companies. The MOA aims to provide indigent families access to quality health care services that can be availed from over 1,500 accredited hospitals nationwide.
